Wow, it has been hot recently, we shouldn’t complain, should we.

We are very fortunate here; we have air conditioning which has made the extreme weather a lot more enjoyable for us. Now we’re just showing off aren’t we.

We may have been cooler than most but nevertheless we were still feeling a little warm, so we decided to spend the afternoon making ourselves fans. It was a bit of a last-minute decision, so we had to improvise a little.

One of the team had the ingenious idea to upcycle paper plates and we set to work. We had a lovely time, drawing, painting, and decorating our homemade fans. We had refreshments on tap and the company was great. We laughed a lot at our efforts to create something beautiful from something so basic.

The fans were surprisingly effective, and we had a lovely time fanning ourselves whilst sipping a cocktail in the sun. Very reminiscent of summer holidays and beach days.

We’ve taken part in many activities here, some of them have taken a vast amount of planning and we’ve enjoyed them all but sometimes the best times are to be had from that last minute idea or an off the cuff suggestion, sometimes all it takes is a bit of sunshine, some good company, a delicious cocktail and a paper plate.
