Hazel End Care Home in Bishops Stortford have joined forces with health professionals and the local community to ensure that staff and residents receive the COVID-19 – 19 vaccine. The Multidisciplinary Teams worked with the Management at Hazel End to ensure that all residents and staff had access to a vaccine.

Staff and residents were invited to a vaccination clinic on Friday 15th January. The clinic was held at Bishops Stortford Football Club, a big thank you to them for allowing the venue to be used to ensure a large number if people can be vaccinated.

On Monday 18th January the Vaccination team went to Hazel End Care home to ensure that everyone else, residents and staff, received their vaccine.

Allison Squires Home Manager said that she could not thank the Multidisciplinary enough for working together to ensure that we all had access to a vaccine.

It has been a very long and difficult year for all of our residents, families and staff. This vaccine means that we can look forward to returning to some kind of normality and hopefully we will be welcoming visitors into our home again.

Allison would like to encourage the wider community to go and get this vaccine when invited. We need to wipe this illness out and if everyone in the local community attends for a vaccine we can do this together.
