We have a new lifestyle coordinator here at Hazel End and we have had a fabulous week getting to know her and discussing all the things we’d like to do with our days.
Ellie has people experience, she has worked with children and adults and supported those with additional needs. She also tells us that she has worked in a bar, so we look forward to some tasty cocktails appearing on the menu soon.
One of the projects Ellie was keen to start was scrapbooking, I have always been a keen scrapbooker, not only are they fun to create but they are wonderful to leaf through, to reminisce over fun times.
We were very keen to get started, Ellie wanted a book that we could enjoy compiling and that visitors could enjoy looking through. We thought that this was a splendid idea.
We are extremely happy with our progress so far, people don’t tend to print and keep photographs like they used to, everything is digital. It’s been a joy to hold the photographs in my hand and mount them in the book, we have been in stitches trying to caption them.
There should be more scrapbooking in the world, fun to make, fun to look at and a little piece of history for future generations.
