In celebration of World Circus Day 2021, residents and staff took part in the special day, honouring the weird and wonderful world of Circus Arts and Culture.

The upstairs pub area of Hazel End Care Home was transformed into a ‘Big Top’ to reflect the large tent in which a travelling circus takes place. Residents became part of the show experiencing the excitement and amazement of being transported into the exhilarating world of Circus.

Residents enjoyed, popcorn, tarot card readings, cocktails, sweets, and an afternoon of activities.

Academy of Movement who, deliver unique fun and inspiring classes in Circus, proving action packed workshops which have you learning new skills in no time, made an appearance at Hazel End, treating our residents to a fun packed show and providing them with a masterclass in all things Circus!

One resident said, “It was an absolutely brilliant afternoon”.

Another commented, “Academy of Movement were so good. It was so much fun, and the weather stayed lovely for us.”

Hazel End Care Home, operated by Halcyon Care Homes is a residential and dementia care home where residents and staff have started the process of receiving their second dose of the COVID19 vaccine. The home is currently welcoming new residents who can stay for both short- and long-term periods.
