Nothing says spring quite like beautifully coloured, sweetly perfumed flowers. Daffodils are swaying in the breeze outside our windows as blossom floats past like confetti, the late spring bloomers are beginning to raise their heads towards the sun with a promise of the beauty yet to come.
We have flowers around Hazel End all year, we take immense pleasure in arranging them carefully and selecting the perfect spot to display them. During the winter we like to have them on the mantlepiece and on tables to brighten up the room, however during the spring they look wonderful adorning the windowsills, bathed in sunshine, colours dancing in the light.
Flower arranging is an activity that we all enjoy. We meet up in the garden room, a room that is the perfect setting and we sit down to enjoy the creativity, all the while taking in the pleasing aromas and enjoying each other’s company. There is always tea, there is always cake and there is always much laughter. It is a time to sit back and relax to catch up with friends and create something wonderful, something that we can all enjoy.
