Residents of Hazel End Care Home spent an afternoon at the Opera, courtesy of Nancy May a Classically trained Soprano.
Nancy held the virtual event on April 7th, which was provided specifically for residents in care homes, there was even a special shout out to Hazel End Residents which they loved. Nancy commented “Thank you so much to those of you who watched yesterday’s care home concert, I was overwhelmed by how many residents and care homes joined me and I’d like to thank you for your kind messages. I had so much fun, and I cannot wait for our next one, which I am planning already. Love to you all”
The afternoon started with a cocktail reception, staff and residents were dressed up to enjoy an afternoon of old favourite war time songs, which encouraged all our residents to get up and have a dance. Cheese and Wine was provided during the interval, followed by more delicious cocktails and dancing.
George King Lifestyle Lead commented “An afternoon with Nancy May was loved by everyone, we are so excited for the next event.”
One resident commented “It is much better than being at home on my own. Thank you to the Lifestyle girls for always putting something fun on the cards.”
Another resident said, “Its so nice that there is always something going on, it was such a special afternoon with good company, good food and good drink, what more could you want!”
